Chrusciel created a convincing storyline and introduced likable lead characters. I definitely enjoyed reading this as well as his 2nd book.Won't say more....only that it's a great mystery story with cunning twists and turns!

Interesting story with likeable characters. I thought I had it all figured out, thinking to myself that it wasn't much of a mystery. Then I got to the end and my mind was blown.

The book starts well and keeps you interested almost 85% of the way. Gorgeous destination, paranormal activity, vengeful character..the plot was nice but the climax was a let down. Just could not get my head around it. Lots of promise from the writer and will surely read more books in the future. I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, through Reading Deals, so I could give an honest review.
The title is more significant that one might guess. This is the story of Goyo and his quest to recover from the death of his fiance, Niamh. Along the way his new love and her sister are used to bait a trap for Goyo by a mysterious character, Elizabeth. Or is that so? That is what makes this such a good read. Chrusciel shows he is talented and mischievous in a most delightful way.
Bianka accompanies her sister Niamh on her first modeling job to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The trip promises to be a fun job and a vacation for the two women. It should be but strange circumstances soon intrude on their pleasure. Someone is determined to see them dead.
This story starts out as a lighthearted mixture of scenery, work, and romance and evolves into a devious plot for revenge. What is real and what is an illusion? Who is the real culprit? Are the mysterious happenings in photographer Goyo's head or was time turned back?
Read to the end and make up your own mind what really happened.
Did that just happen? I really enjoyed reading this book, lots of action,descriptions. Lots of secrets! Never saw the ending coming, such an exciting twist!! Looked back for clues, couldn't find any. Great book. I was provided a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.
This is a very difficult book to review without giving 'spoilers' about the story-line, as it is all concerned with what is and what is not reality, hence the 'illusive' in the title. There are some very seductive descriptions of locations, the characters are convincing, there are some very convincing action passages and the plot does finish with a genuinely surprising ending.
So why have I only given it three stars? Well this is purely down to my individual taste, I just don't like stories where there is a blurring between 'reality' (in terms of the story) and illusion, I just find them rather frustrating,unless they are exceptionally well written, and unfortunately for me this just didn't reach those giddy heights.
Having said all that, if you area fan of psychological thrillers/mysteries, then this may well be a book that you would enjoy.

Great descriptions of places, an intriguing story, an unexpected ending. For me that’s a perfect combination for a good book and Illusive Intrusion has ticked off all of these boxes.
